There are many chemical species in urine, including microbial metabolites and mammalian metabolites. Urine lipidomics is currently an attractive field of biomedical research and life sciences, because urine may add new valuable biomarkers for early detection of metabolism and diagnosis of kidney disease.
Urine lipidomics analysis presents certain challenges because the lipid concentration in urine is relatively low, and high levels of salts and other charged compounds can interfere with lipidomics analysis. Creative Proteomics has built a special urine sample lipidomics analysis platform, optimized the sample processing method, and can accurately analyze the lipid substances in the urine. Our optimized detection strategy not only effectively answers your biological questions, but also improves the number and accuracy of lipid identification and quantification.

Creative Proteomics is based on the liquid-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) unbiased detection of all lipid molecules in urinary samples as much as possible. We use statistical analysis to screen differential lipid molecules, discover the relative relationship between lipid metabolism changes and physiological and pathological changes, and reveal the mechanism of lipids in various life activities.

According to different experimental schemes, we usually need 200 ul-1 ml urinary for our untargeted lipidology services.
The collected urine samples must be frozen immediately to quench any biogenic and non-biogenic chemical reactions.
Due to the lack stability of urine metabolites, repetitive freeze-thaw cycles and higher storage temperatures (such as 4°C) should be avoided.
