Maresins are a new class of anti-inflammatory and pro-lipid mediators biosynthesized from docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) by macrophages. It has a conjugated double bond system and shows strong anti-inflammatory and solubilizing activities. Maresins limit the further recruitment of PMN, inhibit the infiltration of neutrophils in the body, and stimulate the non-inflammatory recruitment of monocytes.
When macrophages encounter maresins, they increase phagocytosis and efferocytosis, resulting in the removal of microbes. Biosynthesized maresins counterregulate the proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α. They also regulate nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) gene products and increase the regulation of T cell de novo synthesis and intracellular levels of cyclic adenosine monophosphate, regenerate tissue, and play a role in antinociceptive action.

Creative Proteomics provides comprehensive maresins analysis services from lipid extraction, lipid detection and data analysis for biomedical research institutions, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.
Absolute quantification: Use external standard method to quantify, and use internal standard for correction, qualitative and quantitative is more accurate.
High sensitivity: We use liquid chromatography coupled with triple quadrupole mass spectrometers for maresins analysis service (Triple Quad™ 6500 LC-MS/MS System).
