With integrated set of separation, characterization, identification and quantification systems featured with excellent robustness & reproducibility, high and ultra-sensitivity, Creative Proteomics has developed a reliable and reproducible method using highly sensitive LC-MS/MS method for the rapid identification and quantification of Ceramide-1-phosphate in cells, which can satisfy the needs of academic and industrial study in your lab.
Ceramide-1-phosphate (C1P) is a phospho-sphingolipid that is gaining increasing recognition as an important bioactive lipid molecule. The short chain C1P induced DNA synthesis in fibroblasts. Treatment with long chain C1P was shown to have a similar effect on fibroblasts. C1P also prevented programmed cell death in bone marrow-derived macrophages after withdrawal of macrophage colony-stimulating factor. Furthermore, C1P was shown to play a distinct role in membrane fusion, possibly explaining the early finding that high levels of C1P are found in synaptic vesicles . Recent biophysical studies have shown that C1P has the ability to affect biological processes by either directly binding enzymes or via membrane deformation.
Currently, a reliable and reproducible method using highly sensitive LC-MS/MS platform for the identification and quantification of C1P in cells has been established by the scientists at Creative Proteomics, which can satisfy the needs of academic and industrial study in your lab.
