Phosphatidic Acid Analysis Service

Phosphatidic acid (PA) is a simple phospholipid found in plant and animal cells.PA consists of a glycerol group, a fatty acid group, and a phosphate group. It is an essential component of the cell membrane, nuclear membrane, and plasma membrane of plants and animals, and is a central intermediate in the synthesis of membrane lipids and storage lipids. It is an important second messenger in the cell and plays a role in many cellular functions.

PA is a direct product of the action of phospholipase D (PLD). In the activated state, PA causes calcium mobilization and activates or co-activates various intracellular enzymes, such as phosphodiesterase (PDE), protein kinase C (PKC), and reduced nucleotide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH) oxidase. On this basis, PA produces various cellular effects. PA can promote cell mitosis, promote the formation of intracellular superoxide, cause muscle contraction, promote hormone secretion, induce platelet aggregation and other effects. In addition, PA has applications in food industry, pharmaceutical industry, cosmetics, etc.

Creative Proteomics provides you with efficient and accurate phosphatidic acid qualitative and quantitative detection services through advanced chromatography and mass spectrometry platforms.

Our Phosphatidic Acid Analysis Service

Absolute quantification: Use external standard method to quantify, and use internal standard for correction, qualitative and quantitative is more accurate.

High sensitivity: We use liquid chromatography coupled with triple quadrupole mass spectrometers for phosphatidic acid analysis service (Triple Quad™ 6500 LC-MS/MS System).

Sample Requirements

We routinely cover a rich variety of sample types, including tissue, serum, cells, cell medium, food products, et al. for our customer.

Extraction of lipids should be performed right after sample collection steps, otherwise, samples should be stored at -80°C, and shipped with dry ice.

After sample collection, you can either perform sample pretreatment, or contact us for specific sample pretreatment service.

Why Choose Us?

  • Fast turnaround time: 1-4 weeks.
  • High throughput: Only one injection can run both quantitative MRM and qualitative QTRAP scans to maximize throughput.
  • One-stop analysis service: Provide comprehensive services from sample preparation, standard addition, mass spectrometry analysis, data processing, and data comparison.
  • Detailed report: Experimental process, MS/MS instrument parameters, quality control parameters, raw data and the final result of the comparison.
  • We will use our expertise to help you interpret the results and provide you with actionable recommendations on how to utilize these results in your research or business.
